If you are a woman and having trouble stripping the fat off your thighs, arms or stomach, you will find this section invaluable.

Those Areas of Annoyance – Thighs, Buttocks, Hips and Arms

We all know that the majority of women retain most of their excess fat within the above areas. Utilizing Biosignature Modulation not only validates this but also shows you why, and how to tackle it. It is the fastest non-invasive diagnostic tool for targeted fat loss, especially when it comes to diagnosing oestrogen issues in women. Biosignature is so effective that ALL of my clients are using it.

The Gender Debate on Fat Loss

If you have been training and eating “perfectly” now for months but have still not seen any significant reduction in body fat, you may have hit that brick wall. You may also be thinking “why has my husband losing fat quicker than me”? This could be for several reasons, one being that it is actually easier for most men to lose fat than their female counterpart.

This is true for most as women lack the prime hormone that is responsible for muscle building – Testosterone. Now bare with me for a minute here, ladies. Testosterone is crucial for putting on mass. The more muscle one has, the more of a fat-metabolizing machine they become. Now that doesn't mean I am saying that you should be trying to increase your testosterone levels. I am just validating one main reason why men generally lose fat more easily and faster than women.

The Myths of Fat Loss

OK so now I've cleared up the issue of why your male counterpart may be getting leaner quicker than you. I will now debunk some myths of fat loss that far too many women still believe:

  1. Cardio is the best way to burn fat off your thighs - This is total BS. It is a well known fact now that resistance training and high intensity interval training are far superior for fat loss than hopping on a treadmill or bike for 30 minutes. Just take a look at most of the women in your gym that religiously use the cardio machines. I bet most of them are still struggling to lose those stubborn pounds. That doesn't mean to say that you should avoid cardio, just that you should maybe ease off a little.
  2. If I eat too much protein I will put on too much muscle mass - From my experience, when women hear those two words – muscle mass, they panic and probably automatically assume they will end up looking like The Hulk . This is not true. You actually burn more calories just by eating more protein, subsequently losing overall size. Anyway, it's very difficult to eat TOO MUCH protein. Besides, proteins are the essential building blocks for muscle recovery and growth. Inadequate protein results in muscle atrophy...not good if you want fat burning as your primary goal.
  3. I will get too bulky if lifting weights too often - For a start it's very hard for women to bulk up. How many women do you actually see in the gym that have an unattractive muscular physique? The ones that may be considered “too” bulky probably have an Eastern European accent to go with it (they tend to have different genes than their Western European cousins). If you believe you are getting too bulky you may be retaining too much fat over your muscle, giving more circumference around them. Lose the fat (usually by reducing carb intake) and you will lose the circumference, consequently giving you a more 'toned' appearance!

Reasons Why Females Get Fatter

If you are not bored reading yet, I have compiled a short list of things to do and not to do if your goal is to look great in your bikini this summer:

  1. Avoid excess spinning classes, aerobics etc...
  2. Don't have coffee after your workout. The last thing you want is cortisol hanging around post training. Keep it to pre-workout ONLY!!
  3. Avoid low fat diets – they don't work!
  4. Eat as much variety of cruciferous vegetables as you can, along with organic animal protein.
  5. Probiotics are highly recommended.
  6. Consuming too many soy products can have adverse hormonal effects involving the reproductive system and thyroid.
  7. Stay away from wheat products and grains (yes...'Special K'). I guarantee the women in those commercials are not JUST eating this crappy cereal!
  8. Stay away from beauty products that contain parabens. I promise you it will interfere with your oestrogen metabolism. In other words if you continue using these products you will find it very difficult to lose those flabby arms and thighs!

As you can see it can be more challenging for females to lose the fat off those problem areas. You have to follow several relatively strict guidelines.

If you want to take the guess work out of your path to female fat loss, I can do it all for you. You just need to follow the steps (the hard part :)) For more information on my Female FatABOLISM packages pleaseclick here, or just fill out the form provided for a call back.
